Persons considering to stop working

If you have stopped working, you are now able to resume receiving a disability pension, in the same manner you were used thereto before you started to work, without being examined by a medical board - as long as the degree of incapacity that was determined for you is still valid.

Similarly, if you have stopped receiving a disability pension due to high income, you will be able to resume receiving the pension without being examined by a medical board, provided that your income is lower than NIS 5,804 (as of January 1, 2017) - as long as the degree of incapacity that was determined for you is still valid.

Whether you stop working or your income decrease, it is important to give us notice thereof, in order to take up your rights in full.

You must submit "a certificate of dismissal from the employer" through our website - To submit documents online, click here.

Documents may also be submitted by fax, by mail or in the service box of your local NII branch.

Important tip!

If you stopped working, please check your eligibility for unemployment or income support benefits.
